The Boboli Gardens, Museo degli Argenti, Museo delle Porcellane, Galleria del Costume, Giardino Bardini.
The wonderful Italian garden, behind the Pitti Palace, is just an open-air museum, full of Renaissance statues and fountains. Originally designed by Niccolò Tribolo upon Cosimo I’s request, it was then completed and enlarged by Ammanati, Buontalenti and Giulio and Alfonso Parigi. Entering the park, from the patio of Bacco, you arrive at the Grotta of Buontalenti, that it’s worth a visit. Going on thru the garden charming pathways, visiting the Anfiteatro and all the other places, allow you to experience the spirit of Renaissaince and the life at court of that time.
In addition to the park, all-inclusive in the ticket price, you can visit the Museum degli Argenti, housed in the north wing of Palazzo Pitti and known as the “Medici Treasure” as it contains an extensive collection of priceless pieces of gold, silver, cameos, crystals, works in ivory and precious stones; you can enjoy the Museo delle Porcellane, located in the Casino del Cavaliere; see the Galleria del Costume, in the Meridiana building, founded in 1983 and housing a collection of around 6000 antique clothes. The museum represents a detailed history of the various trends in fashion over time. And eventually you can also admire the historical Bardini Garden with statues, grottoes, fountains and a beautiful view of the city.Masterpieces
